World Golf Village does not get much salt, but it gets everything else. The reclaimed water in the irrigation leaves hard white spots on the lower glass of nearly every home in King and Bear, Cascades, Turnberry and Murabella, and because the sprinklers run before dawn the spots set before anyone sees them. Ordinary cleaning will not remove them; a scheduled treatment does.
The second problem is dust. There is a new subdivision going in somewhere along International Golf Parkway and County Road 210 at all times, and the fill dirt blows for miles. On top of that the slash pines and oaks drop pollen from February into April, pool cages trap it on the lanai sliders, and love bugs in May and September stick to anything facing a preserve or a pond. Down in St. Augustine Shores and St. Augustine South the lots are older and shadier, so mildew and oak drip join the list.
